Exports to non-Arab Asian countries account for 18% of Egypt’s total volume of exports. The Ministry hopes to increase exports to these markets and improve trade deficits.
The Ministry is also concerned with problems related to effective market access of Egyptian products to foreign markets, including Central Asian Republics as well as Southeast Asian markets (China, Malaysia and Thailand), which are markedly characterized by fairly significant Arab immigrant populations.
