Functions

  • Collect and analyze trends of trade and industrial data to establish complete and accurate databases needed for our research and studies. This can be done through continuous communications with other Ministries and collaboration in the application of survey methods.
  • Evaluate and analyze trade policy issues arising from the current and future implementation of trade agreements at all levels and any other trade policy issues that might occur.
  • Analyze trade positions and public interest resulting from the imposition of anti-dumping, countervailing and safeguard duties.
  • Seeking to perform these goals and objectives in the short and long runs the team has formulated a number of governing principles to conduct daily activities and enhance team spirit:

  • Quality: producing accurate, relevant, and timely analysis.
  • Integrity: maintaining the reputation of the Trade Agreements Sector and its work in enhancing Egyptian trade.
  • Collaboration: collaborating with our internal customers (other departments), providing what they want, when and how they want it by working in effective and complementary teams.
  • Staff excellence: fostering and recognizing teamwork while maintaining a commitment to high quality output from all staff.
