The COMESA Secretariat Launched the official COMESA website http://promis.comesa.int During the fourth meeting of the Technical Committee of Procurement Experts held during 22-23 Sep 2009 in Zimbabwe. The website allows the Member States to participate in the tenders advertised in COMESA region. The Member states national procurement laws will be published as well on the site.

This step will contribute to the efforts exerted in increasing the intra regional trade as well as investment. Worthy to be mentioned is that, the Regulations of the Regional Procurement was adopted by the Council of Ministers in June 2009. This regulations will be in action immediately after being published in COMESA Official Gazette.
