- Gradual promotion at the Ministry of Foreign Trade from trade policies researcher (1987-1992) to Manager of the Trade Policies Unit (1987-2000) to head of the WTO Central Department (2000 to Present).
- Analyzing WTO trade agreements with respect to implementation, policy-making, and dispute settlement procedures.
- Drafting laws and regulations in the field of trade remedies, providing technical assistance to Egyptian exporters subject to anti-dumping and subsidy actions by foreign investigating authorities.
- As head of CD/WTO, responsible for coordinating the work of the High National Committee on Doha Negotiations to formulate Egypt’s position in the WTO negotiations.
